USA Men’s Basketball Olympic Gold…… Finally

After an eight year drought the USA men have finally returned to the top of international basketball, and reclaimed the Gold medal at last.  No one thought they could do it and every one compared them to the dream team. they were alike in many ways.  but they were so different from them selves four years ago. that team was selfish and every one was about making themselves look good. they had a ton of talent but not the chemistry or team work to make it happen.  mike (the coach) had this new team together for three years. to get some chemistry down. and yes they took most of the best players in the USA but they were all able to come together for the soul purpose of winning the gold, not to make them selves as individuals look good but as a team look good. they did just that and cruised through out the Olympics this year. they showed that they really knew how to play the international ball as opposed to NBA ball which is what they were used to playing. they have shown they have the talent, self-less-ness, the will, the chemistry and the knowledge to once again take over the FIBA once again. congratulations to every one on the USA men’s basketball team you played great. good job and a shout out goes to spain who gave us a scare and really made us work for our gold. good job as well

Silver, Olympics lost medal.

The silver medal in the Olympics i think is the least popular, the most forgotten and portrayed as the looser in standings.  When an individual or a team wins a gold medal that is where the whole spot light is. its all on them.  and the team or individual that lost to the gold winning team gets none of it because they are the losers but still win the silver medal.  a lot of times the bronze medal winner is just so ecstatic about at least medaling in the event that they get publicized more so then the silver winner, who lost!  it just seems like the silver winner is more at loss then the bronze winner which is of course not the case.  even though that is how it is portrayed in the media and on tv and all.  i think every one should understand that the silver winner is still a huge accomplishment.  congratulations to every one who won Gold SILVER and Bronze medals. you are quite amazing. and the amazingness goes out to every other Olympian out there. Good job

olympics

i have watched the olympics on tv all my life and i even went to a few events when they came here to utah a couple years ago. but i never really got into them quite like i have this year. and let me tell ya. when you get into the olympics, any event. any event at all you get sucked in. you cant pull your eyes off of the tv. you want your country to win so badly you sadly find yourself hoping some one off the other team skrews up badly.  and when we pull off something amazing it brings tears to your eyes.  honestly i have never been so proud to be an american before. with the swimming and gymnastics and basketball both men and women. we are amazing. i couldnt be happier with the country i live in. way to go USA. make me proud
